Certifications and Compliance
Environmental and Quality Management Systems
Nordic Green Products AS is certified according to NS-EN ISO 9001:2015 and NS-EN ISO 14001:2015. The certifications confirm that we operate structured quality and environmental management systems covering product development, chemical composition, advisory services and execution of cleaning and maintenance services for surfaces, tanks and closed pipe systems.
ISO 14001 certification confirms that environmental aspects are systematically identified, controlled and improved, including chemical selection, waste handling, emissions, transport and operational risk. ISO 9001 certification ensures consistent quality, traceability and customer-focused delivery across all projects.
Scope of Certification
The certification covers ingredient composition for full-fledged cleaning products for use in various industries, as well as advisory services and execution of cleaning of surfaces, large and small objects, and closed pipe systems.
Eco-Lighthouse Certification
In addition to ISO certification, Nordic Green Products is certified under Eco-Lighthouse (Miljøfyrtårn). This certification verifies compliance with Norwegian environmental requirements and includes annual reporting on waste, energy, transport, procurement and working environment.
Our carbon footprint for 2024 is available as downloadable PDF.

Sustainability
At Nordic Green Products, sustainability is closely linked to how we develop products, deliver services and support our customers. Our goal is to provide effective technical solutions that reduce environmental impact in industrial and maritime operations.
Through our products and services we contribute to responsible maintenance, extended equipment lifetime and reduced environmental footprint across a wide range of industries.
Our sustainability work is centred around four key focus areas.
Reducing Environmental Impact
We develop and deliver chemical solutions designed to perform in demanding environments while minimizing environmental impact.
Our work includes:
- Development and use of environmentally responsible chemical solutions
- Reduction of hazardous substances where technically feasible
- Responsible handling of chemicals and waste
- Optimisation and reuse of packaging and transport containers
We continuously evaluate materials, packaging and processes to reduce waste, improve resource efficiency and minimise environmental impact.
PFAS Transition and Environmental Protection
A key part of our sustainability work is supporting the transition away from PFAS-based firefighting foams.
Through NGP FoamSafe Transition™ we assist vessel owners, industrial facilities and operators in transitioning from legacy PFAS-containing foam systems to fluorine-free solutions. The process includes system flushing, cleaning, sampling, documentation and safe handling of contaminated waste.
This work contributes directly to reducing environmental risks associated with PFAS and supports customers in meeting new international regulatory requirements.
Responsible Supply Chain
We work closely with key suppliers and partners to ensure responsible practices throughout our value chain.
Supplier follow-up includes:
- Dialogue and documentation review
- Supplier visits and operational reviews
- Verification of certifications and regulatory compliance
Our expectations regarding environmental performance, labour standards and ethical conduct are defined in our Corporate Responsibility Policy and Code of Conduct for Suppliers and Partners.
People and Safe Operations
A safe and inclusive working environment is fundamental to our operations. Our health, safety and environmental management system focuses on risk awareness, training and continuous improvement.
Employees are encouraged to actively contribute to safe operations and responsible environmental practices in their daily work.
Transparency
We aim to be transparent about our work related to climate, environment and workplace safety. Information about our sustainability work is made publicly available through this website and through updates in our news section.
