Project summary

We visited the Avenza site to observe and support the use of Valhall Gel in ongoing preservation and cleaning work. The goal was to better understand user practices, resolve technical questions, and provide guidance for more efficient results.

How we worked

The visit included a full HSE induction, site tour of the project, and a demonstration of how Valhall Gel was being applied. We discussed challenges related to aluminium and zinc surfaces and evaluated their equipment limitations.

Results

The team on site had a solid understanding of how to use the product and was highly satisfied—reporting a time-saving of about one month on cleaning and preservation. The job was successfully completed using 100 bar HP cleaning and large volumes of water, as higher pressures could damage structural elements.

Reflections

Despite limitations in equipment pressure, the customer achieved strong results by compensating with increased water volume. We addressed technical concerns effectively and identified interest from the team in marine applications for Valhall Gel. A follow-up with case presentations was agreed upon.
