Foam replacement on seven Torghatten ferries, removing old foam, cleaning systems, and refilling with fluorine-free, eco-friendly alternatives as part of their fleet-wide transition.

## A cleaner, safer process

We carried out foam replacement on seven Torghatten ferries, ensuring a controlled and environmentally responsible transition. Each vessel had its old foam removed, the system flushed with Fluor Clean Gel™, and tanks refilled with fluorine-free ECOPOL foam. Waste—including foam and wash water—was safely collected and disposed of.

### Efficient operations, minimal downtime

To maximise efficiency and reduce cost, we serviced the ferries consecutively. This streamlined approach allowed for continuous work and smooth coordination—minimising operational disruption for Torghatten.

### **Completed operations**

- **MF Barøy**: 4,000 L foam + 1,100 L wash water removed. Refilled with 4,400 L ECOPOL 3% + 280 L ECOPOL 1%.
- **MF Ørnes**: 2,750 L foam + 300 L wash water removed. Refilled with 3,600 L ECOPOL 3%.
- **MF Bodø**: 5,000 L foam + 400 L wash water removed. Refilled with 5,000 L ECOPOL 3%.
- **MF Trondenes**: 200 L wash water removed. Refilled with 4,600 L ECOPOL 3%.
- **MF Hålogaland**: 4,700 L foam + 200 L wash water removed. Refilled with 5,200 L ECOPOL 3%.
- **MF Vågan**: 5,000 L foam + 700 L wash water removed. Refilled with 5,800 L new foam.
- **MF Selbjørnsfjord**: 3,700 L foam + 600 L wash water removed. Refilled with 4,900 L ECOPOL 3%.
