[Home](https://www.nordicgreenproducts.com/) › [News](https://www.nordicgreenproducts.com/news/) By Nordic Green Products AS — 2025-04-24 Our recent work on MF Tenna, carried out with Slipen Mekaniske and Boreal, shows what happens when the right tools and expertise come together. ## What we were facing MF Tenna had two freshwater tanks showing clear signs of contamination. Biofilm, rust and humus had built up, and coating failure had begun. If left untreated, water quality would deteriorate and microbial risk would rise. The system needed to be cleaned, disinfected and recoated to ensure safe operation. ### What we did We used Odin Gel, our biodegradable gel cleaner approved for use in drinking water systems. It was applied manually and allowed to activate. The gel broke down rust, biofilm and other residues, removing over 99.9 percent of bacterial contaminants. After activation, the tanks were flushed using high-pressure hot water. The system was restored, certified safe for use and ready for the next hygiene inspection.
