This week, NGP is taking part in Chasing Zero 2025, the annual conference hosted by Maritime CleanTech at Solstrand Hotel and Bad. The event has become an important arena for the maritime industry, bringing together shipowners, yards, suppliers, technology developers, regulators and financial stakeholders who all work toward cleaner and more efficient operations.

NGP has followed Maritime CleanTech for many years and has taken part in their events since 2018. The cluster has been a consistent meeting point for industry knowledge and collaboration, and our participation over time reflects the importance of staying close to developments that shape the wider maritime ecosystem.

Chasing Zero focuses on practical pathways rather than high level ambitions. The program highlights new technology, operational improvements, regulatory developments and collaborative projects that can make a measurable difference for vessels in operation. For NGP, this provides a valuable combination of industry insight and concrete examples from companies that influence maritime performance.

NGP is represented at the conference by CEO Raymond Engelsen and PL Reidar Offerdal. Throughout the two day program, they will participate in technical sessions, join roundtable discussions and meet colleagues from across the maritime cluster. These conversations give us the opportunity to listen, compare experience and better understand the operational challenges shipowners face when aiming for lower emissions and more reliable systems.

Our work in NGP is closely connected to the topics discussed at Chasing Zero. Efficient and responsible maintenance is an important part of vessel performance. Understanding how the industry develops its strategies for reduced emissions, smarter energy use and improved system reliability helps us refine the way we deliver our own chemical solutions and service support. Conferences like this also strengthen our network, giving us the chance to collaborate on technical issues that require joint effort across suppliers and operators.

Chasing Zero 2025 is therefore more than a meeting point. It is a place where ideas, operational knowledge and industry experience come together, and where companies can challenge their own perspectives. We appreciate the invitation from Maritime CleanTech and look forward to sharing insights from Solstrand as the conference continues.
